If you werwe given a job to design a house, would you design your own view on the house or the owner would give you a description of the house ie the place of the kitchen, bathroom etc.

Finally is civil engineering interesting or everyday is pressured?
1. Everything else I thought of sucked
2. 4-5yrs (including gen eds at “4-yr college”)
3. Depends on where you live (cost of living raises or lowers avg salary) and it also varies on if you just have passed the FE exam or the PE exam
4. Companies get paid for jobs, engineers get part of total cost of the project (depending on engineers experience). Other income is if you start your own firm.
5. An architect would most likely design the house since an engineer is able to test to see if the house is safe and stable
6. Basic classes most people take but the only important ones are Calculus and Physics.
7. Civil Engineering is interesting everyday because there are always new challenges and rarely are structures identical (unless you are into roads and really want to work on roads for your engineering career).
