how much does kitchen cabinets and tops cost?
i already bought new counters and granite counter tops but i dont know a good price that it will cost to have someone install it. the kitchen is basically a 10×10 room and cabnites only go on two of the walls like a L. And they have to run power to the lighted cabinets and and plumb in a new sink.
I smell trouble. You can not buy countertops till the cabinets are in. Except for the premade laminate tops which just come in long lengths. But you said you bought granite. How? I been putting in kitchens for 30 years and some 6000 kitchens later and the granite people still will not trust my telling them what size I need. They insist on coming over and making a template. One mistake on granite could cost thousands
What have you done? I worry for you now.
Anyway proessional cabinet installers charge about $20 per box count to install. One box equals any cabinet box as well as every stick of trim. Granite I cant give you a clue because those who sell it also install it. I never met a granite installer who will install some one elses granite. But ya never know, in this economic depression there are lots of people out of work. Just be careful who you hire. Anyone with a pick up truck and a tool box is calling themselves contractors.
